Workshop Overview
Discover the joy of turning your treasured keepsakes into a beautiful bespoke Memory Box artwork in my one-day Memory Box workshop in Clerkenwell, London. Whether your objects are joyful, nostalgic, or deeply personal, this workshop is a chance to tell their story and celebrate the significance they hold in your life.
Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to explore their creativity, this hands-on workshop teaches you how to arrange, secure, and finish your objects using professional assemblage art techniques. You will create a Memory Box you’ll cherish and proudly display or gift to a special someone.
In a small-group setting for an intimate, personalised experience (maximum 5 participants), you’ll receive guidance from a professional artist, learning how to balance colour, texture, and storytelling to create the best possible composition. Held in the heart of London’s art and design district, the workshop includes all materials, a pre-prepared 28 × 28 cm backing board, and refreshments throughout the day, providing a relaxed and inspiring environment to bring your memories to life.
By the end of the day, you will leave with a finished Memory Box ready for framing and the confidence to continue exploring assemblage art with your own collections of keepsakes.
“I absolutely loved everything about Pippa's Memory Box workshop: from the inspiring and beautiful location to her passion of memory boxes and artistic view. It was lovely to spend a day with like-minded creative people and I welcomed Pippa's guidance and help on my memory box. She is super friendly, very helpful, informative and explained everything very well. It was my first memory box, but I'm sure it wasn't the last!” - Gizella

Workshop
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Capacity: I need to have at least 4 spaces filled on each workshop to be able to run them. If that number is not met the workshop will need to be merged with the next available date to get capacity. If this is likely to happen you will be informed 10 days before the date of your workshop.
What’s provided on the day: You will be provided with a box of all the tools needed to assemble and construct your Memory Box, you are welcome to take these home at the end of the day. A pre-prepared, cloth-lined, 28 x 28cm backing board, a Curious Collection notebook and pencil for any notes you might want to take and a little information booklet.
What you need to bring along: An apron and your box of special keepsakes, that’s it! I would advise bringing between 20-30 items as this will give you enough to try a few different arrangements during the design process, but you will only be using 10-20 in your actual artwork so don’t worry if your collection isn’t that big! More details about the items you can include in your artwork will be sent to you before the workshop.
Cancellation Policy: If for some unfortunate reason, you are unavailable to attend the workshop you have booked please get in touch at least 7 days before to be transferred onto another workshop date or to get a full refund. If a cancellation is made less than 48 hours before no refund will be returned to you and transferring you to another date is at the digression of the artist. Please note that we are only able to move your place to another date once. If the artist has to cancel the class, you will be offered a new date or a full refund.
What happens next: Once you have booked your place in the workshop you will receive a confirmation email. I will be back in touch 2 weeks before the workshop to share some more information about what kinds of items to include in your collection, I also ask for a photograph of your collection so that I can make sure to bring any additional materials for complex or fragile items. Finally, a few bits of personal information, such as whether you have any dietary requirements and your emergency contact.
