Do you have a collection of precious items and keepsakes you’ve collected over the years that remind you of a specific person, place, occasion or pastime?
Together we can transform these items into a beautiful bespoke Memory Box or artwork that will bring a smile to your face every day, keep those memories alive and become a wonderful talking point in your home.
Sound good? Then join me and a small group for a day workshop where you will be guided through my creative practice and process, teaching you all the skills to assemble, construct and finish your artwork. By the end of the afternoon, you will have a finished piece ready for framing.
All the materials you will need are provided, including a pre-prepared 28x28cm backboard. Refreshments including breakfast and herbal teas, coffee, water, cakes and biscuits will be available throughout the day. Lunch is not provided, but we will have a 30-minute break for lunch if you need to nip out for something or some fresh air.
The workshop is located on the second floor of Fritz Fryer Lighting’s beautiful showroom in the heart of Clerkenwell. Please note that due to the age of the building, there isn’t a lift to the second floor.

Did you know I sell workshop gift vouchers? A workshop like this is a very special experience, so why not give them the gift of making their Memory Box alongside you? It’s a lovely gift for celebrating a special occasion, landmark birthday or life milestone. Simply let me know after you order that one of the tickets is a gift and I will post you a beautifully wrapped gift voucher you can pass onto them.
Workshop
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Capacity: I need to have at least 4 spaces filled on each workshop to be able to run them. If that number is not met the workshop will need to be merged with the next available date to get capacity. If this is likely to happen you will be informed 10 days before the date of your workshop.
What’s provided on the day: You will be provided with a box of all the tools needed to assemble and construct your Memory Box, you are welcome to take these home at the end of the day. A pre-prepared, cloth-lined, 28 x 28cm backing board, a Curious Collection notebook and pencil for any notes you might want to take and a little information booklet.
What you need to bring along: An apron and your box of special keepsakes, that’s it! I would advise bringing between 20-30 items as this will give you enough to try a few different arrangements during the design process, but you will only be using 10-20 in your actual artwork so don’t worry if your collection isn’t that big! More details about the items you can include in your artwork will be sent to you before the workshop.
Cancellation Policy: If for some unfortunate reason, you are unavailable to attend the workshop you have booked please get in touch at least 7 days before to be transferred onto another workshop date or to get a full refund. If a cancellation is made less than 48 hours before no refund will be returned to you and transferring you to another date is at the digression of the artist. Please note that we are only able to move your place to another date once. If the artist has to cancel the class, you will be offered a new date or a full refund.
What happens next: Once you have booked your place in the workshop you will receive a confirmation email. I will be back in touch 2 weeks before the workshop to share some more information about what kinds of items to include in your collection, I also ask for a photograph of your collection so that I can make sure to bring any additional materials for complex or fragile items. Finally, a few bits of personal information, such as whether you have any dietary requirements and your emergency contact.
