A Slice in Time Composition 5 – Unique Vintage Object Artworks

At 1.2 meters wide this tremendous artwork is a real statement piece and contains over 150 exquisite larger vintage keepsakes and antique items in subtle black, white, silver and gold colour slices. From gleaming police helmet finials, diamanté buckles and mother-of-pearl game counters, to labelled silver salt shaker lids and vintage glass syringes. There are items to captivate and intrigue every time you look.

Part of my A Slice In Time Collection, designed and made in 2023. This collection was an exploration of life's seasons, the light and dark passages of time we all have and the objects we collect along the way. These artworks are not only A Slice In Time but also in history, preserving a snapshot of our cultural history, design through the ages and a celebration of everyday objects.

Vintage and antique items included are haberdashery tools, including needle packets, thimbles, scissors, knitting needle gauges and buttons. Games counters and pieces, horological parts, values and bulbs, brass decorations and buckles, carved bone tools, glove stretchers, plus so many more.

Composition 5 in the A Slice In Time collection measures 120cm (wide) x 65cm (high) x 6cm (deep) and has been professionally glazed with ARTGLASS AR 70 and framed with an FSC-certified wood in a matt black finish.
