A Slice in Time Triptych – Unique Vintage Object Artworks

This unique triptych is comprised of a delicate assortment of over 200 vintage keepsakes and antique items in subtle black, white, silver and gold colour slices. And focuses on the small curios of life: the monopoly pieces that siblings used to fight over; the retro cocktail sticks that Mum always insisted on using when guests were around and treasures Grandma used to keep in her sewing box. 

Part of my A Slice In Time Collection, designed and made in 2023. This collection was an exploration of life's seasons, the light and dark passages of time we all have and the objects we collect along the way. These artworks are not only A Slice In Time but also in history, preserving a snapshot of our cultural history, design through the ages and a celebration of everyday objects.

Vintage and antique items included are haberdashery tools, including needle cases and packets, thimbles and scissors. Games counters and pieces, horological parts, values and bulbs, and various stationery items. Numerous personal grooming tools, including a tortoiseshell nail cleaner, 60s roller clips and vintage Rimmel eye cosmetique refill. Plus many more.
