I've Got To Get On Dear – Unique Vintage Object Artwork
This one-of-a-kind artwork brings together a collection of essential items for a 1940s housewife.
When designing this arrangement, I had a 1940s housewife in mind in her two-up two-down, multitasking all day long. Making dinner, pegging out the washing, playing with her little boy, applying plasters to a cut knee, and darning up the hole in his trousers.
This original Curiosity Collection consists of vintage objects including; a plasters tin, homemade washing peg, toy bus, sponge mix box and cutter, spool of thread, scissors, furniture polish tin, and a light bulb.
Would look fantastic as a stand-alone artwork or part of a gallery wall to add intrigue and texture. A perfect gift for someone with a love of vintage, storytelling, and a passion for collecting unique artworks.
All my Curiosity Collections are made with as little impact on the planet as possible. This artwork is handmade using found vintage objects – saving them from landfill – beautifully mounted on museum archive-style linen and professionally framed with FSC-certified wood in a walnut finish.
Dimensions: 34cm (w) x 34cm (h) x 6cm (d)
This Curious Collection was featured in the November 2021 edition of Country Living Magazine.
